“When I came in, I really couldn’t do much because I was in so much pain! Last summer I had sudden and severe pain in my neck that was quite frightening. I had had much minor neck pain before, but always attributed it to sleeping on it wrong or from a poor pillow. Usually, the pain would go away after a day or two. But this pain was different. I couldn’t move my neck past a certain angle and I had shooting pain from behind my ear down to my shoulder.
My pain brought my daily life to a halt! It was triggered when I tried to pick up my daughter, who was one year old at the time. I almost dropped her when the pain shot through my neck. I was in so much discomfort and I had such limited use of my neck that it truly made trying to do anything nearly impossible. I remember being quite concerned because I had never experienced pain to this degree in my neck before.
