Transform Your Heartburn
Heartburn, pyrosis, or acid indigestion is an exasperation of the esophagus, esophageal reflux, originating from stomach acid. As the esophageal sphincter, (LES), opens abruptly or does not close correctly, stomach fluids and debris rises up to the esophagus. Pain may occur in those who eat specific foods, those experiencing stress on a regular basis, or those in the obese population. One in every 10 people in America suffers often from heartburn. It might begin with a burning sensation in the chest that can reach to the neck, throat, and jaw. Heartburn is also connected to
gastroesophageal reflux disease, or (GERD), a more serious condition.
Symptoms of heartburn are worsened when lying down after eating, smoking, drinking alcohol, sodas or caffeine. Once the culprits are identified, care should be taken to avoid what ails you, or more serious complications could begin.
The health and integrity of nervous system communications are at risk most commonly, at the brainstem and spinal cord. A misalignment in the top two bones in your neck, from an injury or stress can hinder the appropriate role of the central nervous system. When these bones misalign it can disrupt messages in the body, blood flow to the brain, and thus damage the reliability of the neurological tissues. All of these add to heartburn symptoms and in some cases the demylination of the nerves.
Upper cervical chiropractic care re-establishes the alignment and proper movement of these bones surrounding the brainstem and spinal cord. This allows your nervous system to execute at 100% performance, restore the integrity of the nerves, and heal your body from the inside out.
SEE WHAT OUR “TRANSFORMED” PATIENTS ARE SAYING…
“Prior to Transformation Chiropractic care, I suffered with heartburn. I had to be careful to not even drink water. Just about anything would trigger an awful stomach burn. Since my very first treatment, my heartburn is gone. So, I no longer have to be so careful in what I drink or eat and when. I love how I feel.” -Cecilia M. Castro Valley, CA
