When you’re four you get away with a lot!
Last Saturday I took Hayden out for a little birthday lunch at Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria on our way home from the park. He chose a meatball with marinara sauce off the kids menu and I got a salad. When his meatball came he was hungry and very excited.
“Cut my meatball please mommy.”
I cut it up in a couple pieces and Hayden took a bite.
“This is a good meatball, ummm I like this meatball.’ He continued to savor his meatball telling me how much he liked it and that he wanted to get another one when he finished the first.
Then all of a sudden, in the middle of the restaurant, Hayden stands up on his chair throws his arms up head back and yells, “I LOVE THIS MEATBALL!!”
Yes, Amici’s that’s right, Hayden LOVES your meatball and you can hire him as spokesperson for a marginal fee.
Now that was a birthday lunch I will never forget nor the other diners, any time soon, get the image of a 4-year-old-meatball-lovin-lunatic out of their mind. Thank you Hayden for the never-ending entertainment.
